Of course read the book first if you want all the details. Movies have to be condensed for time purposes They did a good job sticking to main points of book, To be fair, I read it a while ago. Some are complaining about the singing amount it’s called songbird for a reason. Casting will never be perfect in any movie. I was fine with it. I enjoyed the music throughout.
